My name is David Jackson, founder, and owner of Jackson's Timber, I am a maker in the Grove Park area here in Durham, North Carolina. I make wooden bowls, cutting boards, charcuterie boards, furniture, and other home décor in my small wood shop. I work with mostly reclaimed, salvaged and storm felled local timber. I also have a soft spot for sustainable exotic hardwoods from other countries. It is important to me that no matter what type of wood I work with that I accentuate the woods natural beauty and form. Some of my pieces are turned green meaning they were turned as soon as the tree is felled, while others are kiln dried hardwoods. I make a large variety of shapes and sizes.
